Stefan Lissinna is an abstract painter from Vienna. He describes his style as impulsive. Each of his brushstrokes is displaced by a new one. He doesn’t know where they will lead him, but he trusts every single one of them.

Starting at young age, his gut feeling was the one thing he could always rely on. A feeling that he eventually portrayed in his life as well as in his artwork. While working as strategist in advertising, painting was his way of escaping the structure of his everyday life, towards the freedom he experienced in his art.

He loses himself in his artwork and thus constantly reinvents it. It always remains unfinished. The goal of his art is not to pursue one. Because if he had one in mind and completed his work, he’d never experience what would have
emerged from it.
